   Aww, look at this! Another “cool” developer who makes games for “cool” kiddies who only use under-achieving game controllers, because it’s the “cool” thing to do. How cute.

   Even keyboard alone can kick any controller’s ass. Add a mouse on the side, and it’s the first and last controller anyone with a brain needs.

   Partially agree with you Warwitch: it depends on the type of game and there definitely is a push to try & make suckers believe that using a controller all the time is somehow cool, which is bullshit.

   A game like a 2-stick shooter or some other top-down, you MUST have a controller because trying to control a car or gun in 360 degrees with W A S D is hopeless. Controller can be good for some other games (eg. 2D platformers) & it lets you sit further away from the PC .. put your feet up, sit on the couch, relax.

   For FPS games (which, of course, are the best), mouse & keyboard is VASTLY superior; in a vid you can always tell if they use mouse or controller cos controller will have lots of overshoot when lining up a target and looks jerky but a mouse will go straight to the enemy easily .. just think about the beautiful control a good mouse with a large pad gives you: very definite & accurate but a controller has a lot less directional accuracy. A controller stick really only has like 8 directions but a mouse has thousands & is easy to move a small amount or right across the monitor with great accuracy & control.

   So it’s really a “horses for courses” type of thing. Anyway, this is how I see it; I’ve been gaming (on & off) since before mice & controllers even existed but others will undoubtedly have their own opinions.

   6 days until Rage 2 is released …. FUCK YEAHHHH!!! Been waiting so long, can’t wait.

   @Warwitch, I completely agree with you. Keyboard/mouse should be standard for these games. I dont own a controller and I”ve never bought one. I’ve been WASD since mid 90’s…lol..

   @Gimme flaps, I never saw the controller thing as a cool thing. But more a byproduct of the console, who didnt have a choice but play with controller. I tried to play with one on MOH. I could not believe how unnatural the feeling is. Its like everything is opposite to what are natural tendencies output. I had a hard time just staying in first camera view, let alone switching the gun, aiming and running. You have like 10 buttons, faceted on a rubix cube.
   A keyboard/mouse situation is cut n dry. Mouse: aim/fire/switch weapon/camera. Keyboard: Run,strafe, back,forward, side to side. Space bar: Jump. Done deal.
