   seems like alot of indie devs started making these desktop idle rpgs i wonder if people actually buy them though o.o if you like the genre consider rusty’s retirement and ropuka’s idle island which are great alternatives. im not a fan of these though 😡

   Meh. I don’t like desktop games in the first place because they always end up taking valuable real estate. Whether my monitor is 4:3, 1080p or 4k, there’s stuff on the bottom portion of my screen. So if you take that up it will hide stuff on my desktop that I need to use. Also my eyes only look at one thing at a time, that’s how eyes work. My experience with these “desktop corner” games is you end up either giving them your full attention (so like an actual game but the window is tiny) or you don’t even notice them running except when they bother you.

   Secondly the game is dead simple and you will quickly reach the end. The screenshots show a house with different rooms and stuff but you literally don’t need any of that. You can do a house like that if you want but really you don’t need to. Each job only has 3 levels to upgrade and there’s only 5 or 6 little people to invite to your game. You can “reset” a job afterwards and choose another career for your little person but there’s no point as, at least according to the in-game description, resetting a job doesn’t prestige it or anything, it just lets you pick another one BUT 2 people in the same household can’t have the same job. So by the time you unlock all 6 little people they will each have their job and you’re done.

   Decorating the house seems to be a big selling point but it’s difficult. For example if you put a prop on a table you can’t move the table anymore before moving the prop off of it. But, you can only put props on surfaces. See where I’m going? You need to buy a table for no reason other than to put your prop on it temporarily so that you can move the table you do want and then put the prop back on it. Lots of quality of life stuff like this that detract from what the game aims to do. I could go on but yeah.
